Many projects, one design process

My process is highly collaborative and hands-on, and it is my goal to make you feel involved and cared for all along the way. We start with a deep dive into your business goals and vision.

Research & Discovery

In the initial phase, I will be interviewing you (and possibly your customers or stakeholders) in a series of workshop-style meetings in person or online, and getting a thorough idea of what you do, who you help, who helps you, and what needs to happen in order for your business to stand out. We will also be collaboratively researching who is in your market, what your competitors are doing, and what makes you different and valuable to the people you want to serve.

Project Definition & Creative Brief

We will be defining the exact things your project will need and ensuring we are on the same page in terms of creative goals, deliverables, estimated timeline, and how the project will be executed.

Prototyping & Design

This is the meat of the whole process, where your designs come alive through careful thought, and design implementation of the creative brief. Depending on the scope of our engagement this can include a logo, branding package, website, print collateral, and a brand kit created for you in a program called Canva, where you can easily apply your brand to various forms of print and digital advertising collateral as you move forward to market yourself.

Ship that thang

This is where I go through the deliverables with you step by step, explain how to use them and answer any questions you may have. If we are building a website this also includes:

  • Pointing domains to the new servers.

  • Connecting any newsletters or scheduling integrations that haven’t been set up yet.

  • Adding any social media links, etc.

  • Final testing of links and any software integrations.

  • Transferring, uploading, and/or linking to any downloadable documents or collateral and linking to necessary pages.

  • Recorded platform walk-throughs to familiarize you with the site, how to add /remove content, add & duplicate pages, make changes to links, navigation, etc.
